Yeah.  Well, as for that, the article the boingboing article links (I really hate this “let’s get all our news through ten layers” thing) is about proposed measures to disallow personal searches like in the headline.  It doesn’t have much on the context, which is about how people can be searched for infringing materials, I guess, which is unfortunate.  But luckily, we can always look at the leaked 2010 proposed text, if so inclined!  http://www.laquadrature.net/files/201001_acta.pdf
