Well ah… I’m glad it’s working out for you. I always hear stuff like “but the drugs are bad for you” but if they’re not giving you any problems, well ok.
I haven’t really felt any effects from them yet, good or bad, partly because I fucked up the dosage, and there’s an intimidating side effect list, but hey, try anything once, right?

I don’t like anything. “So why’re you a Computer Science major? What do you want to do with your life?” “I don’t know. My mom told me to.” I don’t know if this is normal.
That’s how I feel, and now I’m in treatment for depression! Now you have one more data point for “no, it isn’t”.
You’re in treatment? How’s it going for you, if you...

Randomness
Posts are more interesting if they start with World War II, right? Right. Let’s.
During World War II, radios and other long-term communication technology was of course commonly used by all the relevant powers that were. These things of course have all sorts of advantages, but the prominent disadvantage that they’re pretty easy to listen in on without authorization - all you need...
MKEXIST, report 1
All subjects scored within two sigma on standard mental health questionnaires at the time of the employment recruitment process. All subjects had been employed for a minimum of 48 months at the time of the experiment. No subjects were rated above 2 as possible subversive elements at the time of the experiment. Five of the thirty-five were used as input into the device; for each session, five of...
Umm al-Qura Mosque →
It has four minarets on its perimeter, each resembling a Kalashnikov rifle barrel and standing 43 metres (141 ft) high, marking the 43 days of the Gulf War. Around the dome are another four minarets, each in the shape of a Scud missile on its launchpad standing 37 metres (121 ft) high.
The mosque was formerly used to display a Qur’an written in Saddam Hussein’s blood.

This is a script you can install (I got it on chrome) that lets you block all posts with specific tags. This should be especially helpful if you have a rare phobia that you don’t want to be exposed to. Of course, there’s no way to guarantee that the people you follow will tag their posts/images :-(
But if they do (and it might be worthwhile to...

Fun with Lisp: Programming the NES →
Pretty cool post about coding music synthesis on the NES, and assemblers, and such related things. Low-level programming is one of the first things that got me really excited about what I could do with computers; writing like this gives me back some of that excitement while reminding me of why I’ve ended up far better at theory. I can’t imagine knowing all these things about the NES,...
Matthew 6
Post is long so I’m putting it behind a link.
I was looking up the Lord’s Prayer today for various reasons, I read the whole chapter it’s in, Matthew 6. I’ve read parts of it before, especially the bit about praying in closets, but it’s much better as a whole. It makes me wonder if numbering every sentence actually has some pretty bad unforeseen consequences, in...

Linking instead of reblogging because it contains an anime boob gif, and it looks pretty sleazy on the ol’ dashboard. (A crayon rendition of anime-fied Lord of the Flies is art, not sleaziness.)
Anyway. Another neat blog, apparently I’m linking those today. Helpful contribution to my “weird internet images are part of a Lovecraftian shadow world” mind mythology.
